I first met Melissa of A Happy Stitch at Craftcation and we've had many conversations about making a handmade wardrobe. When she asked me to join the espadrilles blog tour, I jumped at the opportunity. The kits comes with fabric, soles, pattern, instructions, pins, thread, wax, needle selection, as well as a special thimble/needle puller. It's everything you need to get started right away.

There's a tiny bit of sewing on a sewing machine to create the lined toe and heel pieces, after that they're attached to the sole using blanket stitch. They come together super quick and Melissa provides tips on fitting and customizing your espadrilles. I'm looking forward to making another pair!
